Part 2 of 2 of a very long … well it’s not a single shot, but it comes across as a single shot when in animatic stage. This one is probably my favorite of this “first scene” batch as I have a soft spot for racking focus.

Ghost Squirrel Scene Two – Layouts version 2
Right-o! Reworked boxing scene in full. Page 5 has an extra panel. The original (second version) was fine and all, but it didn’t quite match the pacing of the rest of the scene.
The scene is meant to be a quick paced teaser to establish the rather important plot point that Squirrel is…well…already dead!
Something Different – Early Practice in Animation Storyboarding
Over the next several days I’m posting 3 scenes from an animated movie I storyboarded a few years ago. It was a movie of my own creation, one I started to write and board for fun and practice. I won’t say all my shot and direction choices are entirely successful (it was my first attempt at making a sustained narrative after all) but there is still plenty of worth here.
I am just posting the images. Normally these would be accompanied by character dialogue, camera, and script notes.
