A very different take on this woman.
At least I think it’s the same woman. Hard to tell, particularly since “likeness” is a rather low priority when I draw from life.

After some very cartoonish and semi-cartoonish attempts, I think I finally got him to look about right.
Still, he looks like a handsomer version of one of my comic characters. I guess true realism will have to wait another day.
Quicker and More Accurate
Contrary to what I posted the other day, these gestures I a bit more accurate to the model in question.
When Things Aren’t As They Seem
This guy was the most conventionally attractive person I’ve ever had the opportunity to draw naked.
…granted things went a little awry in the drawing phase.
Long Pose, Stange Knees
Another weirdly drawn guy. Longer pose. I think his proportions are a bit off, but the energy of the line work is nice.
He also has two knees on one leg. Or maybe that’s skin flap.
Our Lady of Weird Proportions – A Life Drawing
A strangely classical looking drawing for me. Drawn in some sort of watercolor pencil (though that “water” function will forever remain unused) and cream paper. It looks pretty good. I should start doing that again for long poses.
Also: that is one amazingly flat boob. I’m sure the model had perfectly lovely breasts in real life…I hope.
Character Design for an Upcoming Comic Book
A character design for a comic book (or graphic novel, if you will) I’m currently working on. Timid Mole is his name. As fitting his character, my goal was to make him as sweetly shifty as possible.
